One of Tony's life long friends, and the man responsible for us being together, had his surprise birthday dinner at Greengo's Saturday night, August 23. The last of the trifecta to turn 38. It was a fun time...lots of surprise....lots of laughs - the way a birthday should be!! We love you Marcus!

So I know this is late getting up here.....but their b-days were the 10th & 11th of August (If I remember correctly) and we went out for dinner at Cafe Adobe. It was a good time...as you can see - the rest of the pics are on SmugMug, just click the title of this blog to go there.
Tony on his new toy! Suzuki Burgman 400...the first ride. It was just delivered this morning and he had to go to work and wait ALL DAY to ride it!
I have come to Atlanta to train my newest employee. Yesterday, getting here was a lot of trouble. My plane was delayed over an hour, the rental car was not ready, the GPS was not exactly accurate, and I could not get internet service in my first room here at the Ritz Carlton! I actually spent about 2 1/2 hours dealing with their engineers and service provider figuring out that it was not me or my computer, but a problem with their equipment. Frustrating!!
But I do have to give them credit, Ritz is all about customer service and they really have gone out of their way to correct this issue. I was moved to another room that now has the access...obviously!! Identical room but I moved up from the 8th floor to the 14th floor! :-)
One problem...there is a buzzing noise over by the window...not sure if its one of the plugs or the AC or what, but I am going to unplug everything before I go to bed.
Work is going okay, now that I am on-line I can do some work tonight, but I miss home! This is the first time I have been away from Tony for more than one night since we have been married. I know every says that one day I will be begging for time alone, but I am not there yet!! I miss my hubby and my doggies!! Even though we travel often, sleeping away from home is much better when Tony is with me...
My first Garage Sale! It went really well...I made $250 and so did Angela! It was a two family sale from our house. We advertised in the Chronicle and on Craigslist and had a really good turnout. The prep work was hard but worth it! Sold lots of stuff and donated the rest. We were done by 12:30 (I was in the garage setting up at 5 and the sale started at 6).
I let Tony off the hook by scheduling it the same weekend he took his motorcycle driving course. He did a lot of heavy lifting the week before, but wasn't there for the set up, sale or tear down.
So now he can officially and legally ride a motorcycle on the streets...LOOK OUT! It will be a couple of weeks, he bought his bike and it is on its way from Wisconsin. But I will post pics when he gets it!
Happy Birthday (Belated) to Little Miss Lauren who turned 1 on the 5th with Tony who turned 38!! And a very happy birthday wish to Jules from the 6th!! Tomorrow is Maria's birthday and I hope that one is great too!!

Hope everyone had a good 4th of July weekend! We did! On the 4th we had a relaxing day, lunch with my mom and an evening of the downtown fireworks from just outside of downtown. We viewed from the parking lot of Marcus' church with a few others. Afterwards we went and shot pool and played darts.
On Tony's birthday we had a lazy morning and he got his Nintendo DS Lite from me with the game Brain Age. So now he can fine tune his instrument for better memory and reaction time. He was actually surprised and happy that I got it for him! I can't believe I pulled one off!!
His birthday evening was a planned dinner with a couple of friends at the Cheesecake Factory (thanks to his little brother Jermaine giving a gift certificate). When the friends couldn't make it, we changed up the plans to see a movie. Instead we wound up at the Improv and saw Patrice O'Neil (very funny guy)! And then we made it to Cheesecake Factory for an appetizer, drink and cheesecake of course!! I had the Pistachio and Tony got his fav - White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. YUM YUM
Sunday we had another lazy morning but got moving to go see a matinee movie - Hancock. Not what I expected out of a super hero movie, but it was original and a good movie. Later we went to visit Angela, Courtney & Turner. It was a good long weekend!
Unfortunately today it was back to work and Tony is sick...at least it didn't ruin his birthday! And when I am not working, I am trying to get ready for my first Garage/Yard Sale!! Fun to clean stuff out but stressful to get it all done!
